Words, pictures & fair use.
Plain-language terms for everything published on this journal — what you may share, what needs permission, and where our photography comes from.
Our writing
All articles, guides and essays on Opal Wardrobe Notes are original to this journal and protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote short excerpts — up to 150 words — with clear credit and a link back to the original story. Republishing full articles, translating them wholesale, or training commercial models on them requires written permission.
Our photography
Editorial photography across the journal is licensed from Unsplash, whose license permits free use, including commercial use, without asking permission — though we credit the source under each story image as a courtesy. Individual photographers retain moral rights in their work. If you are a photographer who believes an image has been misattributed, contact us through the newsletter and we will correct it promptly.
Brand marks, the OPAL wordmark lockup and page designs are the property of Opal Wardrobe Notes and may not be reproduced as your own identity.
Newsletter terms & conditions
Subscribing to Get updates (the form linked site-wide) means Opal Wardrobe Notes may email you top stories, new guides and occasional promotions. We send at most a few emails per month, we never sell subscriber data, and every email carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately. You must be 16 or older to subscribe, and you confirm your consent by ticking the agreement box before pressing Subscribe.
Fair use & corrections
Criticism, review and classroom use under applicable fair-use provisions are respected. If you spot an error of fact in any story, tell us through the newsletter form and we will verify, correct and note the change in the changelog.
